You need to post more in here. I like reading what you write.

Hey-
I came across your site through a winding series of blog links, but your recent post made me think a few things:
1. I agree..it's nice to know other people declare themselves spiritual but not religious. I do too.
2. Yay for the Boston Globe!
3. If you've not read it already you might be interested in the book Life of Pi by Yann Martel. In addition to being one of the best stories I've ever read, it has a great section about religious/spiritual exploration and finding a way to believe in everything at once.
Anyway, thanks for your entry. :)

Um.. yeah. What Kate said. And more. I've been feeling more and more lately that even the term "pagan" doesn't fit well with me anymore, and that's sad. I liked having a label, it made things simpler, sometimes.
This (the matter of my beliefs) is actually something that's been on my mind lately, and I had a very nice conversation about it with one of my boys the other night. I should blog about it when I get a chance.
Thank you for the snippet of poetry, especially the lines:
Divinity must live within herself:
Passions of rain, or moods in falling snow;
Grievings in loneliness, or unsubdued
Elations when the forest blooms; gusty
Emotions on wet roads on autumn nights...

I kinda know how you feel. I...just don't talk about my personal religion/religious feelings, simply because they're hard for many people to understand. I mean, I don't follow an organized religion and somehow I don't think I'd be happy if I did. I pick and choose what makes sense to me, just like you.
And that excerpt you put up really described a lot of my sentiment, far better than I ever could. Thanks, dear. :)
