Um . . . you're doomed.
Granted, I have issues with depression, but it sounds a lot like parenthood to me. Suddenly I felt so very mortal. It will get better when your hormones get back to normal (usually when the Beanie is 18 mos old) and also you'll learn how to ignore the initial thoughts that lead to full on dread, but . . . yeah. Sometimes it will feel pretty threatening. At least that's how it's been for me. But maybe it was all just my depressive tendencies and it won't be like that for you at all.
(yes, you may shoot me if that's too much honesty.)

Shit, I don't even have a kid and this happens to me all the time. I've had more panic attacks than I can count. God, help me if I ever have a kid. Then again, maybe I won't even be thrown by it as that is my normal state, sans children.
You ever want to swap some panic attack stories, you should talk to Rob. He went temporarily blind once.
