I am... slightly confused. Please follow along and explain to me my errors.
Jesus founded the Catholic Church. This Church is His body. So when the Church teaches, it teaches with the authority of Jesus.
Now, if this train of thought is correct, those whose actions show that they do not follow the teachings of the Church cannot be said to be keeping Jesus' word. So it would seem that the beginning of Fr. Radcliffe's homily contradicts everything else he said in it!
But maybe I'm just one of those nasty "militants" or something.
And Jesus squashed that welcoming inclusive church by separating the sheep from the goats. I guess he didn't hear fathers homily.

Actually, I do not want to remember any more of Dahmer than I do, but did he not try to hide his misdeeds? As though someone just might not affirm them warmly? We are nobody to say whether someone is in a state of grace -- unless he proclaims it himself at every opportunity, even skipping Sunday Mass in order to do so.

Some believed at the time that this happened because Fr. Anthony was too "conservative." I could never learn any details, but this sermon certainly does little to dispel those suspicions.
