I also didn't see the point of Twitter. It seems to be a solution looking for a problem, or user-generated content taken to obsessive extremes.

If real-life friends were all using this, it could be useful; though I've had enough trouble convincing my friends to get LiveJournal/Flickr accounts and actually log into them, so until personal wireless neural implants show up, I'm not holding out much hope.
