I just loved how Kevin made this whole thing a right vs. left issue as opposed to discussing the topic at hand. One way or another, the fact that Mary is a Cheney does, and should, have an impact. If Cheney believes gay marriage and gays conceiving children to be wrong, then he has to stand by his "morals" 100% of the time, not when it's convenient for him. I would have to disagree. A bastard is a child born out of wedlock. If a group of people are not allowed to marry, and a same gendered couple decide to have a baby, how can the baby be held to the same definition when its parents are not allowed to marry?

i've found that my baldness, to others, has become a part of my overall personality in ways that any other hairstyles couldn't. people seem to think shaved-bald "fits" me, and while i can't explain why, i like it. i'm sure some bald people (especially non-razor bald people) don't have the same experience, but i'm also sure some do.

It IS about exposing the hypocrisy of the family values crowd - WHICH the vice-president & president embrace(d) and RAN their fucking campaigns upon. Mary Cheney ran the VP's campaign on that platform. It is the sheer blatant hypocrisy.

They DO NOT support same-sex marriage, civil unions, same-sex pregnancy, civil pregnancy.....they view all as antithematical to "family values." And not only "family values" but Judeo-Christian values

I guess my thoughts are on trying to change the little game these pious, self-rightous hypocrites play by demeaning our lives, relationships and orientation in any way they can just to try and justify their bias of us. As much as I do not like Mary Cheney due to her turning her back on us when she could be a lightning rod for our equal rights, only to keep her father and company's bigotry afloat, I still see her in a relationship legal or not. ( common law? works for straights though maybe not in Virginia ) Certainly no more legal or illegal than the almost 26 years I have spent with my husband. The child, though technically a bastard, ( a term that can only be used pjoratively to hurt rather than define. )should not end up the political "whipping boy " in this. (Just my opinion and I do understand your viewpoint. )
