He's not gay. He was just trying to help a guy out. He said so himself.

Wait, this is on Dan Savage's page:

Curtis admitted to police that if details of the incident became public he would have to tell his wife and would need to hire a divorce attorney.

This is proof why we need DOMA--two men kissing is a threat to traditional marriage!!!!

I just helped a guy out.

There has been no sanctity of marriage since the 50's if even then. pffft.

I like how Joe titled the post: Headline of the week so far. . .

Awesome. I was just reading about this at some news site.

I was wondering who was going to be the next regublican to go down in flaming flames, and Voila!

I can't to hear who Larry Flynt is goin to expose... I hope its not Graham.

32=Hatch, but the odds are against me.

Receiving oral sex while wearing women's lingerie? A bit out of the ordinary for a gay man, in my experience. He may be straight but, of course, the conservative dogma says that any crossdresser must homosexual.

Rudy is a fag?

Ben, he admitted to getting plowed by the street hustler, so I say GAY GAY GAY. Here is the police report here...

http://slog.thestranger.com/ file...urtis_spdr1.pdf

Here is a classic example of that culture that slides into and out of the Closet Gay tryst life. It’s almost like a Forest Gump adventure tasting sweet at first then going sour to hell. A Larry Craig toe tapping for passion, or do like this with the Jocko twist. One thing is for sure variety is the main ingredient and disease is an eventual connection if safety is not considered.

The question, is it a disease of mental dysfunctional traits that leads to the pervasive corruption constantly churning in the so called Washington whore house? The passion to the absurd to achieve the impossible? Or, being in the closet avoiding condemnation? It’s all a mix of sex diversity, which at the right stroke in time can seem wild and crazy, individual, private and personal. But, again safety is a responsibility for everyone in society.

Can we say that Closet Gay’s always leave the door unlocked?

How about there is always a key under the mat?

woah... there was just an earthquake here in san francisco

Closets usually don't have locks.

Is this the expose Larry Flynt promised or is that one yet to come?

Hot damn!

The whole GOP is going down in flaming pink.

This is fucking ridiculous. These people are human glory holes.

The handsome Richard Curtis

http://images.google.com/imgres?...%3D10%26hl% 3Den

it's only tuesday . . .

:-)

another week, another republican sex scandal.

at least this guy knew he'd need a divorce attorney. more on the ball than larry craig.

This story is about as unusual as dog bites man. Can't we hear about something out of the ordinary for a change?
.

I completely resent this guy refering to himself as 'gay'.

He's the Unhappy Gay.

Altho he's from the other side of the state, apparently he likes to frequent a sex shop here in Spokane.

All the repubs are know are simply disgusted, some are jumping ship.

he's from seattle area and hits up the adult bookstore in spokane ? wth ? that's a long drive for some hankypanky.

Wasn't Flynt supposed to come out with another sex scandal in a week or so? The Republican Fundies are imploding.

He ain't gay. He's so far gone that it would take the light from gay about 1000 years to reach him.

I know Jenn, that's what's so weird. And the sex shop here says he's been in 3 times in the last month... odd.

didn't his wife notice his odometer ? or maybe he rented a car for the drive.

jenn, I never look at my husbands odometer. I would never think to look.

didn't his wife notice his odometer ? or maybe he rented a car for the drive.
I think he was just out of town on bissness. That is how it normaly works. For men who can spend alot of time away from there familys.

His wife probably already knows... has know for some time...

where's that list of republican sexual hypocritical screwups ?

Why is it the people who live in the biggest glass houses are those who throw the heaviest stones.

His wife probably already knows... has know for some time...
Most woman who wed for money get used to ignoring stuff like this. Money can buy lots of forgiveness.

well this curtis guy seems to think he'll need a divorce lawyer, among other things.

"Money can buy lots of forgiveness."

Dano, we do have a bumper crop of trophy wives this election, so I guess I have to agree.

The only pepole who win in this situation are the lawyers. Both sides will clean up and the family will be left in ruins. Wonderfull way to show how much you cair.

Geez, that's worth writing down.

I know, Word, I am just very tired and obviously not thinking nicely tonight.

The bar for Republican hypocrisy just keeps being raised higher and higher. At least the skeleton in my closet is imaginary.

OMG, the local newscast video is hilarious. Oh, and right at the end, they mention that this guy, while driving back to his hometown after all this went down, he totaled his car.......perhaps a suicide attempt? Sheesh......what a dirtbag.

Check it out.....juicy is an understatement.

http://www.spokanetogo.com/news-...ideo/? mgid=8884

They are such a mess!

Hello, The Greek Giant here humping the idiotic politician Dick Curtis and sending a Giant sperm explosion all over his face. He will eat a sperm sandwich for lunch while I, The Greek Giant, will enjoy a feast of Greek olives, grapes, croissants and one litre of vodka.

You impoverished American office slaves had better get back to work before your bosses ream a cell phone up your assholes and speed dials repeatedly. That is all.

The GOP sexual hypocrites on parade just keeps going! And going. And going...

chowderSF, if it were a suicide attempt wouldn't that be very sad? Could you imagine being so full of self hate you would want to end your own life? Sad, very sad.
I blame this on society's ignorant views on homosexuality introduced by the bigots and dumbasses who want to point at others to make themselves feel somehow superior.
Think about it. This man is living a lie and would rather die then admit to his natural feelings.

Hi, Jump.

Really sad, Karol.

Hi, Karol, hi, Chowder, whomever else is on.

I missed the debates tonight, jump. Did you watch them?

Karol,
Are you exhausted? I AM. I'm drinking tequila.

WHAT A DAY!

LMAO!

Hadn't heard about him totalling his car in Cle Elum. That's where my last car blew up!

Karol,

I just got home. Day from hell. Truck exploded on the freeway during am commute--405 down to one lane, crane fishtailed and hit overpass and burst into flames killing driver on my commute home. And other stuff...

I barely remember my name right now.

An American Karol | Homepage | 10.31.07 - 2:13 am | #

I totally agree, Karol, sad it would be.

Hey, Jump.

We just had a little tumbler here in SF..... I guess it was about 5.6 on the Richter scale. I was in class and everyone freaked out. It rolled for about 5-10 seconds. Just another day on the left coast.....lol.

At least I now have a business idea: A whole line of men's clothing for the professional, conservative (closeted) gay male. The clothing line would be called Craig & Curtis. Has a nice ring to it, doesn't it? :)

Jump, twelve hours of teaching today. But I think I would take that over LA traffic any time. You win. I have wine.

chowder, I felt the quake her in Central Cal. I thought I was having a fainting spell before someone else asked what that movement was. I was on campus and several people felt it.

green libertarian | Homepage | 10.31.07 - 2:22 am | #

Oh my. I like that one. How about a line of tighty-whitey's on one side and pink lacey panties one the other side, reversible, of course......what other ideas do you have for the Craig and Curtis line???? LOL

I'd take either over the alternative. Stepdad spending night in hospital with chest pain--mom's freaked. My day's just gone on and on like that. What do you do? You roll with the earthquakes, keep your balance, grateful for the chance to do so.

The tequila tastes really good tonight.
:)

Karol, when I got home from class, I found many of the paintings and framed items were all askew. A bit off-putting to be sure.

Jump, what kind of tequila are you drinking......?

patron silver tonight...
:)

I don't think my stomach can take tequila tonight.

May I suggest, if you can find it, Los Abuellos. I know the maker and they make it the old world way. I have even been to the factories in Tequila, Mexico where they make it......I love that part of Mexico....anyway, if you see it somewhere, give it a shot.... ;)

what a tangled web
i hope that all escape with minimal damage

Karol, Sweetie,

You must be beat. Your day is just too long. When does this schedule end? Are your feet up?

chowderSF | 10.31.07 - 2:31 am | #

Thank you very much. I don't like gold tequila much at all, but love the white/silver. And I love recommendations. Will look...
:)

So Kucinich and Edwards looked good tonight? What'd you think?
:)

I wish I had a cozy fire right now.

The finest te-killya is Chinaco Anejo Gold.

Don't like gold.
It's a taste thing, green.

There's lots of kinds of tequila because there are lots of different things to like.

chowder, I have been through Tequila, Mexico on a road trip from Guadalajara to Mazatlan.

There are three types of premium tequilas : The Silver (or blanco) which is bottled
without aging and tastes like a doctor's office, the Reposada which is stored in oak
barrels for at least six months and is pretty tasty, and the Anejo which is stored for
at least one year and tastes like an orgasm feels.

Husband said he got bored with the debate and turned it off after fifteen minutes. I hope that is not indicative of most Americans.
I would have watched it, but like most here, I am addicted to politics.

self hatred is always on the menu at the republican cafe. "values voters"

What did HRC do?

jr, I am no psychologist, but it seems to me "value voters" are projecting.

I want chocolate mousse, whipped cream, and fresh strawberries.

Just a tiny little bit.

To wash this doctor's office taste out of my mouth.

LOL.

I am eating a Mother's brand lemon cookie. My kingdom for one of Jenn's or Nosy's homemade oatmeal.

Will you accept fresh huckleberries to cleanse that palate? That can be arranged...

:)

LOL. Yum.

Oh...I missed dinner. No wonder!
Sheesh, I need food.

Brain is a mess.

I never had a huckleberry...

Mulberries, yes; huckleberries, no...

From CSM via Alternet:

War Protests: Why No Coverage?
10/30/07, by The Christian Science Monitor, by Jerry Lanson

Coordinated antiwar protests in at least 11 American cities this weekend raised anew an interesting question about the nature of news coverage: Are the media ignoring rallies against the Iraq war because of their low turnout or is the turnout dampened by the lack of news coverage?

I find it unsettling that I even have to consider the question. (MORE...)

http://www.commondreams.org/arch...007/10/30/4907/

Karol, yes, just a lick of...

The Christian Science Monitor is one of the country's best newspapers. I learned this LONG ago in college, from one of the most liberal girls I ever knew.

heh heh heh

http://www.truthdig.com/cartoon/..._same_attitude/

I didn't know that, green, but they sure have covered lots of good stories over the last 7 years.

There sure are a lot of dysfunctional want-to-be queers in the republican party... the only problem is that self respecting gay men and women will not have anything to do with these ass holes... talk about hypocrisy!

green libertarian | Homepage | 10.31.07 - 2:57 am | #

I read the Christian Science Monitor when I get a chance, and I never really detect a religious tone. And I am sensitive to religious tones,,,,,allergic is more like it. But what is up with those Reading Rooms I see every so often in random locations. I have never been inside one, but does one just go and sit and read in there? Always have wondered...... ;)

This girl I knew in college... totally liberal, she ended up marrying a Muslim guy from Lebanon who was way out there. She ALWAYS read the CSM and copied articles for us. They were so very good.

Chowder I don't about those CSM reading rooms either, but it sounds like a good idea.

Night Jump. Sleep tight.

My question is: have you ever met a straight Republican? Personally, I never have.

You and me both. Sleep well.

We've been below thirty here in E. WA, Mike.

But no, we don't get the -20's and -30s you get there.

I've been there, did that. Far colder in the '60s when I lived in "tropical" MN, i.e., Da Range.

Night Jump and Chowder.

This parallels Gay Catholic Priest and all the venomous attacks against anyone that made public that there were and are Gays in the priesthood.

The GOP is always joked about as the Gay Old Party but it is no longer a joke but factual.
How is old Larry Craig these days?

what's the search warrant for? nothing illegal about consensual sex in a hotel room...

knock, knock...anyone at home?

Here's a interview with the kid and his lawyer, I saw bits of it on the news (I live in Eastern Wa too, but usually just lurk here.)

I just realized that sounded bad. I mean I live in Eastern WA and usually just lurk at this website. I don't LURK in Eastern WA.

Police also interviewed Jalene Henneman, a Hollywood Exotic Boutique employee, who told them Curtis had been in the store three separate times in the past month, and called him "the cross dresser." Henneman said Curtis told her his wife knew he was gay, but that he only pursued sex with men when he was out of town.

In 2005 and 2006, Curtis voted against a bill that granted civil rights protections to gays and lesbians.

In 2007, Curtis voted against a bill that created domestic partnerships for same-sex couples.
http://seattlepi.nwsource.com/lo...tml? source=mypi

He's not gay! He's closeted! There's a cosmic difference between the two.

Curtis is a self loathing closet case forced into dangerous behavior because of people like curtis

I so hoped the Larry Craig thing would be the final blow, so to speak. I hoped that the country could admit that gay people exist, always have, so what anyway, and move on.

but sadly no

He's done.

Glad somebody said it.. over 100 posts and John didn't say anything good or bad on this.. it would be nice if the nasty rhetoric against TG people would end here :(

since he started comparing transgendered people to bedwetters and other nasty comments I have spent a lot less time here..

I hope we can keep up this momentum for another year - one Republican closet case after another, about every three weeks or so, culminating in simultaneous "indiscretions" by Mitch McConnell and Lindsey Graham, say around the middle of October '08. The gift that keeps on giving.......

Damn, with these Republican homophobic men jumping into the sack with any rent boy who comes along and these Democrats unable to stop the war and sucking up to corporate funding, I can't tell much of a difference at all between the two major parties.

-marc

Another republican claiming he is not gay. It's these closet cases who consistantly vote against gay rights and secretly meet call boys. The fact that this one gets off wearing women's undergarments whilst playing the role of wide receiver is interesting. Maybe, he is not unlike "The Three Faces of Eve.", and one of his faces is a women who likes to play the loose woman. I wonder what his wife is thinking about this right now?

I'll bet she takes a "wide stance" on the matter, the wife, not the representative.

Do Republicans now get to claim that they've got the first trans elected official?

-marc

hey JWAZZZ
how or why do you think lindsey or mitch is gay ? where did you hear that ?

This latest episode of Guess Who?

Reminds me very much of Mayor Jim West of Spokane story, now deceased.

He was also not Gay and all the GOP knew that he was Gay.

I find it very interesting that the GOP buries its public errors and omissions.

Halloween will never be the same, Curtis was a Transvestite FireFighter

Mr. Richard Curtis will find a very successful carreer in the performing arts, since we will not be returning to the Fire Department nor Politics
