Elevate my thinking

Gravatar nice, comfy place you got here ..

Gravatar Alabama & U.S. sends it prayers. Very cowardly act, angers and saddens us all.

Best,
Ringo

Gravatar I wrote to friend on Thursday in New York, in the mid-morning panic when it was becoming clear that we were in the midst of something big but it remained frustratingly unlcear where some loved ones were, that London bends the knee to hostile forces rarely: fire, plague and bombs have not stopped its progress in the past, and so it will prove again this time.

Peter Ackroyd uses the word 'resurgam' - London will rise again.

Gravatar glad to hear you're well...

Gravatar It's true, londonmark.

Glad you're safe.

Gravatar As a (cuurently exiled) Londoner, I feel convinced that the ties that bind London's communities will not be broken by the events of yesterday. In fact, in the face of atrocity, The best cames out in Londons people, in the little things: the lines of people waiting to give blood at Edgeware road; a woman arriving at the Salvation army HQ this morning with a large fruit cake. Yesterday reminded me of the day of the nail bomb on Old Compton Street. I was there one evening a few weeks ago, and the life of London has not been cowed, although we have not forgotten. These people are fighting a hopeless war: London has faced worse than this and will not turn in on itself now. I expect Londoners to continue to embrace the diversity of the city, thereby sending out the strongest possible message of defiance.

Gravatar Just wanted to let you and your readers know that here in Chicago, we are praying for you, and were so sad and angry when news of the bombings reached us this morning. Please stay stafe.
With love to everyone in England,
Becky

Gravatar Whoah!!

I idly wondered if you might break cover. Keep well.
