Gravatar Mr. Millman did a good job (though I suspect he's a bit libertarian for my taste on some matters)and I can't say how disappointed I was (nay, disgusted) to witness John O'Sullivan, normally a writer to be taken seriously, saying this: "Traditional marriage might well emerge strengthened from this evolutionary test." A test. He is willing to subject the most sacred institution known to man, the life-giving womb of all its children, to an experiment, betting the fate of the world on a favorable outcome. It seems fashionable among conservatives now to seek endless means of mollifying the enemy that would destroy us. A lot of this has been going on at National Review, and I'm about done with them.

Gravatar NR counsels surrender. I am ever more persuaded that neoconservatives have become simply the right-wing of liberalism, as someone at View From the Right wrote recently.

Gravatar Paul,

I just saw the latest article by W. James Antle; it is currently featured on the Enter State Right home page...

I don't know if you already know, but you (and other bloggers) are mentioned in it, with respect to the issue of conservative dissatisfaction with Bush. It can be found here, here, here, and probably at other places that carry Mr. Antle's column as well.

This is actually a topic that I have been writing, talking, and thinking about for some time; in fact, I was just recently thinking that I should blog an entry about this. See the comments of myself and others here, at a past entry of Josh Claybourn's. I am still hoping that a strong conservative will challenge President Bush in the Republican primaries (like with the last President Bush). As I've said before, if nothing else, that would at least make things exciting... which is something that we could always use in politics.

Gravatar Thanks for the heads-up, Aakash!
