I can't remember who (John O'Sullivan maybe?) but a month or two ago someone made an excellent argument that we shouldn't abandon Europe because we shouldn't concede so much to the faction there that is against us. The faction that is for us deserves our support. We benefit from helping them. Again, someone did an excellent job of laying this out.

I'd like to see the argument for reconfiguring NATO. Sounds like a good idea.
