So Dave, do you think the political showdown by Justice Moore in Alabama over the display of a decalogue monument is an appropriate political struggle, or is it a misguided, surface-level battle? Would the real problem be better addressed at a deeper, cultural level?
Phil, the fact that a Federal justice(s) refused to allow the sculpture demonstrates the "quality" of our culture. I have not seen the sculpture, but it would ironic if the sculpture was kitsch even though it celebrated our Judeo-Christian heritage.
