As I recall, your concern about gardens and cities was also the concern raised by Jones and Wilson in Angels in the Architecture.

Yes, that correct John. As I recall, they seemed to ultimately favor the Agrarian approach, though reluctantly. Doug Jones also touches on the theme in this CA article:

Now you *really* have my attention. Much of what Berry writes regarding the state of agriculture, and its effects on the culture at large, resonate with me. (Had I been introduced to Berry and Joel Salatin in my younger years …who knows.) Anyway, just last night I was reading your book regarding the garden-city idea, and Berry. et al came to mind!
However, you are very discerning to question the balance of *some* who have latched onto Christian agrarianism. I am concerned when I see ghetto-like Christian subcultures forming. Rivendell (aka Misty Mountain) comes to mind.
