The media is engaging in irresponsible journalism.
Of course, their credibility is next to nil. They went along with the recent bailout attempt along with Bush, Paulson, and Pelosi, and yet even the media could not sell the bailout to the American people.
Michael - quite simply, because they want him to win. If you're new to this blog, do some searching and you'll see that the media is totally and completely in the tank for Obama. This election has seen unprecedented departures from actual journalism by the major media outlets in this country. They blatantly ignore legitimate concerns about Obama (Bill Ayers, tax plans, etc.) and do their best to shield him from tough questions. It has gotten so bad that even the few remaining fair-minded journalists out there have commented on it.
Another problem is that they are pushing their opinion as fact. Opinion is fine, but it needs to be presented as opinion; that's not what they're doing.
If you want the truth, you simply cannot trust the major TV networks (other than Fox) or newspapers anymore. The rise of the new media, talk radio, and blogs have provided a desperately needed counter to the mainstream media (MSM), but it's still an uphill battle to get the truth out.

Why isn't word of Obama's actions getting out in the press?
I hope that this monster Obama will be found out by his mindless followers who have become so closed minded about Obama's fault that they will willingly give up the right to freedom of speech for the rest of us Americans who can see this liar for what he really is. This scares me because I see our country on the brink of disaster and Obama has a legitimate chance to become president and he is in the category of Hitler and Stalin and yet he is still winning in the polls. I hope that Obama's supporters using these intimidation tactics will be prosecuted and stopped and that Obama will not be able to steal this election with lies.
