The vote's coming on Thursday Curt. The nonesense about some Conservative MPs missing the vote (before its brought up) is air in a bag; an independant and two Liberals missed the last "confidence" measure and Layton has offered one of his flunkies to sit out for each Conservative MP out of the house for medical treatment.
Martin is Prime Minister because he won a minority government. Harper is not the Prime Minister because he didn't win a minority (and if there is no clear majority after the next election Martin gets first dibs on the Prime Minister's seat). Currently his rule is based upon tradition, even if he wouldn't know truth or decency if he tripped over it (nor would Harper).
Welcome back :D

It's that 'first dibs' idea I was getting at. I also think Martin needed to address the confidence issue more promptly than he has because his very right to do such things is in question. It needs to be reasserted at the earliest opportinity. I'd say this if the shoe was on the other foot too.
Anyway- I'm not sure I'm "back" so much as letting a wee bit of steam off.

I must have been intuiting something when I did this one up. Is that Belinda with the arrows? Is Harper the guy in red? Maybe it's McKay. In any case, Belinda's gone and I won't shed a tear.
