Gravatar OUCH! Hope it heals quickly!!!

Congratulations on all you have accomplished! WOW!

Gravatar I can just picture all you brand new REAL doctors standing around mumbling about what to do! Too funny!! Thank goodness she's ok and it was "only" a dislocation?? I guess?? My sister's girl broke her arm cartwheeling in wet grass.

Congratulations on your accomplishments!! You all deserved your party!

Gravatar Congrats on finishing intern year! You made it.

Gravatar Congratulations!

That was a seriously funny story! I hope your friend is feeling better now.

Gravatar Congratulations to you. I have enjoyed reading about your internship. I am pretty sure you are going to make a fantastic doctor.

Gravatar Congratulations! What next? Do you stay where you are for a residency?

Gravatar CONGRATULATIONS!

And I am thinking if I fall/maim myself there better be ONE doctor nearby! Too funny no one would take responsibility fearing the wrong diagnosis/treatment.

Gravatar Congratulations and wow that was funny (but i'm not trying to be mean). It was funny like when my 5 month old starts to choke on his spit-up and suddenly I feel like a first time mom again and stare at him with wild eyes until it passes and he's fine again. You're like "I know what to do, I'm an expert" and then you 2nd guess everything and end up doing nothing when you could have handled it all along. Right? Anyhoo, congrats girl. Proud of ya!!

Gravatar Congratulations! (And hope your friend's elbow feels better soon!)

Gravatar Congratulations the medical field is a little bitter brighter today!!

Gravatar Hallulujah!!! ...on your doctor status, not the arm situation.

Gravatar Congratulations!!!!!!!!!!!

The last time I tried to do a hand stand, I swore I would NEVER do that again!

Gravatar That is too funny! Congratulations!

Gravatar Congratulations!! Will you be able to stay at the same hospital now that you are a "real" doctor? Or are you moving someplace else?

And, if you are moving, could you let us in on where you were?

Gravatar After the arms was fixed up did you still get to go on the canoe trip the next day?

Gravatar Congrats on finishing your internship.

Gravatar Congrats!! You made it through the intern year yay!

I have a similar story to yours. Only, it was in medschool at the end of a pathology class. A girl put on her coat and dislocated her shoulder. The 200 of us were looking at her and no one knew what to do... At some point, the pathologist came to see her and, as (naive) 1st yr medstudents, we thought he would replace it in a blink of an eye. Ugh! Wrong! He kept saying he had no idea what to do Finally, he put her in his car and drove her to the hospital haha!

Gravatar Congratulations,

and what a good little story

Gravatar I thought of you when I saw this:

Gravatar Congratualtions!!! That is the best story I have heard in a long time! I have enjoyed reading your blog for about a year now and wish you continued sucess as a Doctor.

Gravatar When my hubby was doing his fellowship in general surgery (including LOTS of trauma) we were eyewitnesses to a blunt force head trauma (open skull fracture). He responded as best he could until the EMTs arrived and has remarked several times since that trauma looks VERY different when it arrives in the ER 'all packaged up' and you have your supplies than it does on the scene.
Hope your friend was OK--and congrats on surviving intern year. Two more years to go, right?

we need all the honesty we can get. Thanks for being so open.
