Comments for Perspectives

Gravatar Phil that is beautifully put. When I went into coaching WAY back when, the only coaching people really knew about was in the sport world. They didn't know anything about executive or life coaching. As it shows in 'Did you know?" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r...h? v=rjKBsfk_O8c kids are being trained for jobs that don't exist yet. The leaders of the future are our children and they need to create something powerful and sustainable that they will love for their futures.

Gravatar This is a continual issue and frustrating. As long as we have to have control, we can never really embrace change or creativity. We frame our thoughts, ideas, and behaviors by our past and what is within our control.

It is much like raising children. As parents we want them to be successful, doctors, lawyers, teachers etc. Parents become very frustrated when our children seek success in worlds we have never treaded. Years later we find our children quite happy in fields that we had no clue existed, or didn't exist. Thus the good parent, with all good intentions, could well have made a bad decision for the happiness and success of our children. The unknown is both exciting and dangerous. The unknown is coming. If you want control and to stay within yourself, you will miss the opportunities for new life and ideas.
