I think it's good to start by staying away from the darker topics, while you learn to handle them with tact, skill, and provide hope to the client (by the way, I'd add pregnancy to your three Ds).
On the other hand, these are just part of life. Sometimes a client NEEDS to talk about death, disease, or divorce. That's very different from predicting it. Working with the energies around these life events and helping clients cope through them is some of the best work we can do - but only if it is done well.

I could not agree more with your thoughts on this. I've only just begun studying and hope to do readings for others soon.
I never heard the three D's, those are good ones to avoid I think.

Thank you for sharing. I agree with you. We should help to up lift others and not add fear to people. Talking about the three D's is not good practice. My angels taught me to find other ways to guide others and not mention these. People need guidance not fear.
