Excellent opening article. Your essay took me back to my own Magick beginnings. You made me feel quite a bit of empathy for that much younger self. I agree that someone to show the way early on would have made a huge difference. And I quite agree with your call to keep a journal. Re-reading my early journal entries (which your essay prompted me to do) gave me an almost time travel experience. And I did indeed learn from that young fellow who made those notes with a quill and a shaky hand. Thanks for your enlightening effort. I eagerly await your future articles.
