Oh poor Ping!! Please keep us updated. We know you are discouraged with your V-E-T but if you did like them prior to this, Mommy says to consider giving them another chance. As it is a holiday week, Aunt Susan and Aunt Mary both say that they are very very busy at their clinics. Hopefully its something similiar with your V-E-T and not something else....Lady Boo, Captian Jack says that if you are upset about Ping that he wants to come over and hold your paw until we know he is better. We are purring and purraying for Ping!!

I just came over and read everything and the update. Phew, I'm so glad its just an infection but I'm surprised they didn't notice it when you were there before. I hope your hock heals soon! Snap (our horse) had to have her hocks injected last year and then she moved smooth as silk. Feel better soon!
OOHH poor Ping! Bite infection are icky! At least you know what is wrong so you can get all better. One of daddy's mancats that came before had to be treated for them on a couple of occasions. Tiger and daddy's other mancat Kit had issues with each other sometimes that got pretty bad. When my kitten Toastie came into the picture it got way worse and we had to find a new home for Tiger because he has being beaten up. It was very sad. I met Tiger, he was OK. Mommy said he was a huge cuddle bug. He's enjoying the life of a single cat now.
Oh if someone bit you, you let me know Ping! I will bite them right back.

Oh no Ping not da "bitey" thing...it's usually a whoops when one of us gets scratched or bit by our brofurs and sisfurs (right Speedy) and we'z sure dat is what happened. Sure hope yoo heal up good Ping.

Glad to hear he's well. Something like that happened to Nixon once. I felt a little lump on him and was so afraid. It turned out that it was just a bite and scratch. Nothing serious. He and Fatty are always wrestling with one another, it's bound to happen.
Poor Ping. It's a good thing you took him in before the holiday weekend. Now you can relax and enjoy it while he takes his medicine to get better.

We had to come back to see what the diagnosis was, and are glad to see that it is an infection and hopefully antibiotics will help. We hope he really starts to heal well now that you know what is wrong, and how to get him well. Purrs.

I came over to wish Abby a happy birthday. I was so sad to see that you've been suffering all this time Ping. I'm glad that the problem has been discovered. My mom was bit once by my over the bridge sister Kali and she had to go to the people vet because she got a bad infection too. The vet-doc told my mommy that us kitties have lots of yucky germs in our mouths. It's real easy for us to cause an infection when the skin is broken.
We changed vets when over and over again our vet wanted mom to bring us in and leave us. The new place always has appointments because there are more vets to see. So we understand the waiting to see if it's a holiday problem or an all the time problem. Well, whatever makes you the happiest is what we wish for you. Heal quickly Ping. I'll purr for you.
