I think America is also ready for another one of those, AB! It's not any better here. Perhaps all conservatives in both countries need to join forces and send the liberals back to where they came from. By the way, where did they come from???
But only with real hardship and crisis do people truly seem to rise up. Is it actually that close, do you think? Can you feel it and smell it in the streets, in the populace of Alberta?
Gayle, in my opinion, is also correct and I've been writing that for a time: we're about to have our own conflagration. I've yet no idea what form it will take or when, but I can most certainly feel it coming.

Gayle - "By the way, where did they come from???" ... Why the sewer of course... its a disease that spread before water treatment, that has no known cure.
BZ - It's hard to say if its close, but we can feel the tension rising. The next election will definitely be a determining factor, which is within the next year. If the LIEberals get back in, it could be very nasty times. People are angry over all the Enviro-nazi propaganda as it is, and them being elected could be the tipping point.
I don't feel the same tension down south of the border, yet, but I do know the offshore drilling, if it's not started, could really start something up. If fuel prices in socialist Europe caused trucker riots, imagine what higher prices would do in the US, and Dem controlled Congress and Senate could take the brunt of that anger if they don't change positions.
ABF: they're already taking something of a thump, with 9% approval. But no shock. At least Bush allowed coastal drilling. Now we'll see how Congress reacts. I'm not holding my breath.
