It's always a good conversation starter too when you say you have a Gunnera and no one believes you as "you have a small garden and could not possibly fit a Gunnera in there"!

I do like your half barrel pond Ryan. I've done avery miniature version with a glazed container, but the Gunnera is too big to fit in there (maybe I'll divide it in time and put a little bit in the pond).

I have a Gunnera manicata too you know! It's in a metal dustbin, which does rather cramp its style. Stops the leaves getting too big anyway. They're probably the size of a dinner plate rather than the dinner table!
