So a Blonde Walks Into a Blog...

Gravatar Hi. I'm a newcomer to your blog, but I wanted to say thank you for this post and the poem.

My husband is the US Navy and he has been to Afghanistan twice since 9/11. While I support our troops every day with all my heart (via my support of him), it is nice to know that other people are also doing the same.

Gravatar So very true.

Gravatar This poem brought me to tears thinking of my cousin serving in Baghdad right now. I pray daily that she is doing well, and that she is happy. It's so sad that in this day and age we still have to resort to violence to solve our diplomatic issues. Someday, we will have grown ups in office...

Gravatar I hear ya. I served 6 years in the military. There weren't any conflicts at the time though so I cannot relate to that but I know what it is like to serve.

Gravatar ~DebC- Thank YOU for the sacrifices you make having a husband in the military! And thank you to your husband for his service. Saying prayers for both of you. *hug*

~HW- That poem was is so moving, isn't it?

~Ares- Blessings to your cousin. I will say a prayer for her and for you.

~VE- And now I admire you even more.

Gravatar Such a beautiful and insightful poem.
