Well, I'm not in the States right now so I buy Lebanese as much as possible. It's pricier but I figure I should do my part. The economy here is in bad shape.
In Kuwait, about all I can buy local is the gas. LOL Most everything else is imported.
In the States I prefer to buy American, but that can be difficult. Especially since not all of a product has to be made in the States to say Made in America. {sigh}

This post of yours would be funny, but unfortunately it's all too true. We need to become more self-sufficient like we used to be, but with all the liberals pushing for a one-world government it doesn't look like it will ever be that way again. It's very discouraging, to say the least! 
I am not laughing. It is a very sad truth. America has sold us out. I actually got excited looking at my shampoo bottle and it said "Made in America." Pantene will forever be on shelves now that I have seen the paten.
