Hahahahahahaha...heeheeheehee...wait a minute....did you just say....hohohohoho....sorry, just wait a second here...."People are now watching the much more objective alternatives"!
So objective it makes my balls hurt!
If you can't see that al-arabiya is the saudi al-jazeera and that it responds to saudi interest just like al-jazeera responds to qatar, then you really are a deluded fool. Your comments would have so much more credibility if you just said al-arabiya is closer to your prejudices than al-jazeera wa khalas. By trying to actually argue for al-arabiya's objectivity you are just embarrassing yourself.

You know what, I'm going to remove this last bit about Al-Arabiya because you're right, they are also biased, and because it's changing the subject which is originally Aljazeera's viciousness.

Mustapha once again you have shown what a fool you are.
Your excatly like your Saudi masters who decide to black-ban every independent media outlet in the arab world when it does not agree with their views.
And what could be more objective than Aljazeera?......'Alarabiya' with its despicable documentary making that hated war criminal Gaeagae look like a dove or your won Al mustaqbal which shows the weather in S.Arabia before the weather in Lebanon...how unpatriotic, subservient and atrocious is that!!!!!! Just goes to show how Hariri's fools in Lebanon are trying to turn our beloved homeland into a wahabbi arab 'satellite!' (ha ha get the irony in that???)
Mustapha, your supposed to be 'objective; in your posts.....please dont be like others in Tripoli and give up Saudi money for once.

Saudi Money?
come on, I live and work in Africa and, believe it or not, my blog is a one man show... As a side remark, I broke up with the almustaqbal movement more than 6 years ago because i'm a staunch supporter of civil marriage and secularism, and because i'm against the power of the clergy.
Hardly the profile for a wahabi propagandist, don't you think?
But Riad, dear, you're falling in your own argument: if someone doesn't agree with you, he must be taking money from some Devilish regime somewhere.

Mustapha, you're spamming kindly allow us to reply with our own opinion rather than duelling with each single-minded, albeit honest, reader that criticises you.
Anon, do you have children? would you even think what might be your state of mind if you lose one of them? what if that loss was no accident and you knew it? furthermore, what if an already validated lying scum (such as Suleiman Franjiyyeh, especially about Saad Hariri Murdering his father to assume power, good attempt though...) attempts an even sillier comment less than an hour after the murder?
Back to actual facts: If al-jazeera has a professional-oriented news crew, they would not bother and factor in Franjiyyeh's opinion because it has been already discredited several times before (Abu Adas and others). Worse, it's been provided as a counter-argument! f@$#
Riad, you could still watch al-jazeera if you like it and label it as an independent outlet; no one would care less, especially not the writer of this blog spot, or any other independent blog outlet writing about lebanon, as a matter of fact. Just don't try to hide the fact that Qatar is attempting to hide its guilt from providing logistic support to the smart bombs that killed innocent civilian lebanese in Qana, by showing ass-licking enthusiasm towards Hizbullah policies.
That piece of crap Hassan Nasrallah gave the Qatari envoy in Dahyeh a king's welcome, and that other piece of (smaller) crap Nabih Berri has received the American envoy several times before. So why cover the guilt by wrongfully leading the audience into accepting bad propaganda?
And I'll keep saying this until everyone hears it up: Geagea has paid his due by being the only warlord to enter the prison for eleven years underground, and Michel Aoun has paid his due through fifteen years of exile. Whatever you try to say, March 14 will successfully integrate its supporters and history alone will bring justice to Lebanon and its independence movement. So f$&@ you and stop reading this blog spot if you don't like it. Read As-Safir or Al-Akhbar or Al-Jazeera, they should be good enough.

Blaming Syria on this occasion does not make a lot of sense. Syria has suddenly got a much stronger hand to play in the Middle East. The US and the UK want Syrian and Iranian help in bringing down the insurgency in Iraq. Why would Syria want to undermine its own reputation at this point in time? I don't deny that Syria, like Israel and others have wanted to destabilize Lebanon (although we must recognize that the 1976 intervention by Syria was supported internationally and by many Lebanese)

Al Jazeera, Al Arabiya, LBC, Future, CNN, BBC, Al Manar, all are responsible for heightening the tension in Lebanon.
CNN's headline states: Christian Leader, or, Minister Assassinated. Or Pierre Jemayel a Christian was gunned... Do we need this!? Isn’t he a Lebanese Minister or a Lebanese Leader? Should someone always stress the differences? LBC starts their news with comparing the assassination of Pierre with the assassination attempt on his grandfather in 1975 which in their own words: Marked the actual date for the beginning of the Lebanese civil war. And so on and so forth like stating that he is from a Maronite family who gave a lot to Lebanon. Al Jazeera and with respect to most assassinations or bombings which takes place in Lebanon have an urge to state that whatever took place in a Christian Area, or Sunni Area, or whatever!!
I am a Muslim who has many Christian friends and this sort of coverage pisses them off as much as it does to me. We do not need this sort of branding and news coverage. We as Lebanese people are trying to get past such ideas and you see national as well as international news agencies trying to push us back into the sectarian pit.
Many parties are willingly or unwillingly marketing sectarianism in Lebanon, and in a very dirty manner. Of course my religion differs from that of my friends, and I am a strong believer in my religion, but does this mean that we can’t live in one country together? Isn’t the assassination of Prime Minister Rafic Harriri a loss to all of Lebanon? Isn’t the Assassination of Pierre Jemayel a loss to all of Lebanon?
What the news agencies and local and international TV stations are doing is only helping the killers in dividing Lebanon and diverting the public attention form the bigger picture.
I think this is an important issue which should be raised and quickly.

It is very true. Al Jazeera is a direct competitor to Lebanese Media. Al Jazeera Has No Lebanese Working in it! Al Arabiya and many other Arab news outlets (other than Lebanese) have a more favourable approach to Lebanese politics. But Al Jazeera is extremely bias when it comes to Lebanon. Them going globally in an English language, scares me. We need mass emails condemning their views on Lebanon and how bias they are. If we, don't and expect other to do it, rest assured, the others are saying exactly the same. As Gandhi well put it:" I must be the change I wish to see in the world".

I agree with Joseph, I suggest we put together an email or at least push this idea more into the spotlight, to object to aljazeera's bias. In fact, the station is not only biased on Lebanese affairs, it is biased on pretty much every single topic it covers and moreover, its website and online polls are all worded in such a way as to detract from issues they disagree with...
