Very true mostafa.
The opposition main problem is that they are copy/paste ing March 14th methods. They have failed to see that March 14th see itself in the strong position, all of it and NOT just Hariri, and this is why they are adopting the bad cop/ good cop strategy.
And as I can see, it is working very well. The opposition seems more than ever interested in reaching an agreement, and they saw a ray of hope in Hariri speech, which is what March 14th intended to happen.
Note: Thanks for mentioning my modest opinion on your post

thank you mustafa for the post...right on the money.
perhaps nazirallah's rhetoric is an indication of him being in a tight corner and nowhere to go. after the demo, he found out that they are not the majority and that the other side is a force to reckon with.

Nice one Mustapha,
I love that the photo illustrates your point perfectly....and to add to your great quote, I think it was Truman that said: "Speak softly, but carry a big stick."

Weird. Why does every pro-March 14 (with perhaps the exception of JoseyWales Lebanonesque blog) seem to think that March 14 is winning the fight? The opposition has been running circles around March 14 since day one. They can get more people to their demos, their followers are more disciplined, their (superficial) demands resonate with Average Ali and they are backed by a militia that is stronger than the Lebanese army. To me it seems like the opposition is holding all the cards, while March 14 wastes time rallying around martyrs and anti-Syrian sentiments instead of doing something proactive.

Good post Mustapha. I agree with Jay, March 14 should be more assertive, agressive and proactive to reach the Appropriate Agreement.
Otherwise, Hizballa will conquer Lebanon more and more playing on time and demographics.
While ''Elias'', ''Maarouf'' and ''Mohammad'' leave Lebanon for better future. Averge Ali, with iranian petro-dollars, make children, resonate fanatic rhetoric and intimidate Lebanese people. Hizbolla blackmail equation should be broken: Jumblatt and Geagea are the best suited for the scenario, with Hariri of course.
I fear the day where Farsi would become an official language in Lebanon, like the case now in some parts of Irak.
