Good topic! Congrats on the new position, and I think your plan is a good one; relationships are so important to our success as academics. For me, I'm looking forward to getting involved this year in developing a new faculty mentoring program in my college. I'm the Associate Dean for Faculty and Research in my college, so this is a really fun project. I'd love to hear from this group what pieces of mentoring are missing in their academic careers- it was really spotty when I was a junior faculty member- what's your view of it now?
