Adam! You're back!
Now, as for Fr. Hunwicke, when may we expect his submission to the Holy See?

Scott,
Why would he do that?

I was too lazy to read past the first paragraph. I have allowed myself to become too politicized in this time of "unpleasantness" in the Anglican Communion and wrongly assumed that when one is unhappy with "Anglicanism," one joins another ecclesial body. If I had read more carefully, perhaps I would have seen that Fr. Hunwicke is unhappy with a certain mushy idea of "Anglicanism" and not necessarily with being a priest in the Church of England. Mea culpa!

This mean-spirited post makes some points, but Anglicanism has actually been one of the better products of Christianity. Whatever one thinks of Henry VIII, the C of E has little to do with what he imagined. We can't look backward with too much hindsight or we will discover too many other skeletons in Romish closets we would rather avoid. Whatever one thinks of the current issues, at least Anglicans are not pretending to live in some distant past where people were oppressed or killed because they were born female or gay. The hypocrisy of the Church of Rome on many matters is nothing to emulate or admire.
