This is awesome. Dr. King was phenomenal. You are great for sharing these words. I grew up with a guy who learned this speech and recited it from memory, with fire and charisma like you wouldn't believe.

Wow. You know, I don't think I've ever heard that all the way through. A product of our school system, coupled with a little laziness in regards to history, I guess. It is unbelievably eloquent. Everyone should have to read that. Often. And actually HEAR what he had to say. Amazing. Great post.
until today, i had never heard this speech. Call it ignorance, call it isolation, whatever. I just never thought it affected me, because i "wsnt part of that"
and i just realized, after reading that, that the attitude i had, while not hurting anyone, wasnt helping either.
