That's the trick! I think if you contemplate someone else's love or appreciation for an ordinary object long enough, you'll begin to love it too.
You have to visit Kiosk. Everyday art displayed as if it were in a museum, things you're expected to take home and use. I feel like I've ripped a canvas off the wall of the Met to use as a blanket every time I do the dishes.
(I'm fully aware that this obsession is totally out of control now.)

Ok I've done it now... I ordered some things from Kiosk b/c I could not resist.. Items in question include "butterfly geisha cards".. I thought they were pretty.. but now I realize quite useless in the age of cell phones... Also a really scary kids book that I fear I cannot give to my neice b/c it's too scary called "Who will comfort Toffle?" Treasures include a cheap restaurant guide (in japanese). I'm dying to know what it says, but the pics are great... And along with the addresses, that's all you really need, right? Consumerism will be the death of me.
I'm dying to see that book. And you can leave a butterfly card for me every time you come a-callin'.
