The Comments

I confess being afraid to throw out the garbage after a flyer from the owner of my apartment building said that someone (???) wasn't throwing out their garbage properly...

I'm confessin' (that I love you).

I've attended some Methodist churches that are liturgical. Granted, they aren't high-liturgy, like the Catholic Church (and other churches), but there are many that utilize liturgy more than one might think.

I confess the above comment was not a confession.

I'm still a big proponent of the Eastern Orthodox Church, though I do not attend regularly (actually I do attend regularly at least once a year). How can you go wrong with Kalistos Ware? (not that most Orthodox have really ever heard of him).

I confess that I really enjoy pooping and that my mood is controlled by my bowels more than anything else.

Id have to say that the Episcopalians are not more of a sinking ship than the United Methodists.

I confess that I'm not keen on confessing as I am a communist. and I can't type.

i confess that i care about the pope.

The pope reminds me more of the late Queen Mother than her daughter.

I confess that I was going to hassle you about saying "I'm reading a book by Jürgen Moltmann" and making a joke about Zizek. I was going to call you George.

But I confess that your statement about how living alone means a dining room table that is almost clean made me fall in love with you all over again. All is forgiven, please come home.

"always," not "almost." I need more coffee.

I confess that I thought the festschrift should have been more widely publicized.

I confess that (for the first time?) I agree with Anthony.

I confess, to avoid other work, I have written a small outline for a book about procrastination on academic papers by smart intellectual types. I interviewed a number of my smarter friends, and the symptoms are usually very similar, very distinct from laziness, and are always a contunous nuissance. In fact this seems to be a major problem for this sort of kids. I could see definite gain for progressives if this is solved, or perhaps considered in the open, not privately, and I've approached this from the existential, marxist and psychonalyst perspectives, of why we are at times afraid to finish and publish important papers...but then somehow I fear this wont get finished either. Ah powerless misery...

Adam,

We'd love to have you as an Episcopalian.

I agree that the Methodists are nto doing that much better. Would you consider becoming a Lutheran?

I don't think I could be anything other than an Episcopalian. Well, maybe Orthodox.
