Ein Torah K'Toras Eretz Yisroel. Ali V;hitzliach!

Gravatar Very nice.

Gravatar My Bar Mitzvah parsha was Eikev, so I've always felt somewhat close to the word; the first Parsha I lained after my Bar Mitzvah was actually Toldos, and I always felt that the word connected well in terms of listening: That whenever it appears, it connotes a more urgent request to listen (for lack of a better term). [Picture someone grabbing someone, pleading, saying 'Listen! Please, you MUST listen!]

I never noticed, however, the children connection, nor the Avos connection. (The land I did.) Thank you very much, I really appreciated this dvar Torah, above and beyond normal.
