we put the kids to bed before havdalah, though (at least in theory). i like the long fridays, though.

Yeah, but what about the Pesach Seder starting so late? Back in pre-history (the 70's perhaps?) DST started the last weekend in April (in the USA), and only rarely did Pesach occur so late.

I too love DST. Light is good. It makes me happy. Having more time for shabbat prep also is really really nice. Obviously, nothing is perfect, but, at least, in my opinion, the pros far outweigh the cons. Happy DST.
