I dont recall where I orignally saw this article, but I think I either did comment, or thought about commenting, that R. Bleich must watch 24.

It's a standard law review type of thing. now, I went to law school after 24's debut, so it could be an indirect influence, but there's certainly no proof that this law prof watches 24.

The phrase "ticking bomb" has been in use for ages. In particular, the Israeli military says that they only use torture-like tactics if they believe there is a ticking bomb, and this use predactes 24 by several decades.
