I have been out of blog touch for a while so I thought I would stop and say hi. And comment on the fact that in many ways I have found that what I learned outside of the academic work sometimes proves more valuable than the work itself. I have found at work that the ability to understand what each professor wants from best students translates into being able to figure out what the point of the meeting I just sat for 2 hours in. Developing a strong confidence in my abilities as a student now translate into my abilities as a professional. I am certain that you will pass both the academic and social tests this year, and while some people have issues translating those things into the real world, I think you'll pass that test too

Although I think (hope) that the passage of time has taught me wisdom, to some extent, it is always reassuring to hear that what I think is also believed true by others. Isn't that a fancy way of saying positive affirmation?
Lastly, let me say that I am, to my surprise, enjoying precalculus. Still trying to fit all the pieces of the puzzle together, but the process is enjoyable.
I said earlier that I thought algebra was the grammar of math. Now I think that I am learning more grammar and some vacabulary. It's like learning French!
