Do you realize that Justice Merrick Garland has just cited Lewis Carroll's Hunting of the Snark in his review of a Guantanamo inmate's being falsely held? Something like "Saying it three times does not make it true" ... and implying that the Snarks ("the worst of the worst of the terrorists") who were taken are actually Boojums, which means that they were never Snarks at all. How long till we're back Through the Looking Glass?

Of course George Carlin's warning about power doing what power wants to do rings in my ears.

I call this a "slow groove," musings -- but thanks for noticing! I'm still recovering from George's passing, which is my excuse for posting lightly lately. We really are living in a Alice-like Wonderland, aren't we?

Yep on two counts. 1) I remember. 2) We are certainly in Alice in Wonderland country. The remix is probably much more instructive than anything in print or on TV these days.
