Personally I do not think it matters either way. All that five years of being tortured qualifies John McCain for is a lifetime of physical and mental therapy, and a 100% disability payment from the U.S. Navy. It has nothing to do with his qualifications to be President, the only one of which appears to be an ability to snow-job the press while behind the scenes being as corrupt as any other Senator.

I hear you, BT.
I also hear Douglas Valentine, whose expose simply mines the available data. While everyone says, "I probably would've done the same thing under the same conditions," I find it galling that McCain is continually held up (by the fawning MSM, for starters) as a war hero when the Rovian wing of the R Party is busy tearing down the genuinely heroic record of John Kerry -- even while covering up for a silver-spoon frat boy President who boozed and snorted his way through his Vietnam-era National Guard duty.
