Gravatar I am glad to hear that you guys were able to celebrate Nawrooz which we also celebrate in Iraq. I am also glad that you guys got rid of the Taliban regime which hopefully one day we get rid of their version "al-Qaeda" who destroyed all aspects of life in Baghdad which one day was a cosmopolitan city.

I read and heard a lot about Kabul and how beautiful it was before the Russian invasion. I am also reading a book now called "The Kite Runner" which is written by an Afghani author. It's an amazing book. The details and the description of the past and the present reminded me with all the pain that is happening in Iraq now. The photo of the children playing in the snow was like the one mentioned in the book but the author portrayed it in words.

I came across you blog from Streamtime.org and found it very interesting. I love the kind of blog reporting you are doing. I used to do the same in Baghdad before I came to study the Master's in Creative Writing Studies in the US.

Thanks again for this beautiful blog.

Regards.

Gravatar salam,

sale naw to mobarak!

it's really sad whenever i hear about the afghanistan. but you know, unfortunately it's just part of daily entertainment for most of the people outside. sad, but true. i'm sure i'm not thinking about the 5 years old girl... tomorrow. but i think i just means you are the one who should change it. just don't get tired. go forth and make it. khasta nasho!
