Yes indeed, drugs is a sad plight....everywhere in the world. Just the other day I was reading on CNN about the Seller & the Buyer in Afghanistan and how they don't have any choice. Until situations improve and the Government looks into alternative means of livelihood....opium would continue to be produced...traded...and consumed...

I am sorry, it was by mistaken i putted one gram heroin costs afg 250 ($5USD) Today again i went there and asked from the addicts the details for how much they are buying the heroin. They said to me, they are buying between afg 50-100 ($1-2USD)
so the last sentence is like this:
Opium users buying one gram heroin in about Afg 50-100 ($1-2USD) for only single day.

I believe that education is the answer in tackling drug abuse, educating young children about the danger and consequences of it.It is difficult when this act became a habit and later an addiction, but its even more difficult and unfair for us to blame the users if drug is their pain reliever .

Dear Nasim,
Global Voices is always on the lookout for volunteer authors and translators to help up report on what bloggers are saying in countries and languages we would like to cover more. Global Voices authors should ideally be bloggers themselves and be knowledgeable about the countries whose blogospheres they intend to write about.
Authors work with a regional editor to determine, which stories should be covered, and are involved in the daily decisions of Global Voices as part of a special community of more than 100 bloggers.

Dear Nasim,
I love your photos of Kabul. You are a wonderful photographer! I worked in Kabul with Aga Khan Foundation for several months last year and really love the country and people. I pray for peace and progress for the country. Continue writing and taking photos.

Drugs are more available to people than food there.
Drugs are given to children to stave off their hunger pains...they soon become addicted.
Strong economic foundation was never in place and during times of strife, things get worse.
NATO is trying now.
NOT Saudi Arabia.
You'd think that they, the most wealthy nation in the ME would help out ... yeah.
AL when was the last time you lived in Afghanistan? Just curious.

Leap (as high jump?), Did you read the Nasim profile in the right side of this blog? He writes from Kabul (and he pays all the consequences for that matter). And you? Maybe from Mars? I hope it's an unpleasant misunderstanding otherwise your irony is really misplaced...
