Dear Ali,
I got up early this morning and went to see a client. Then, I came home and saw the newspaper. The Far left/Secular Progressives Democrats have won. The official time for the U.S. to leave Iraq is August, 2008.
That wouldn't be so bad if the Iraqi people could come forward in droves to offer their lives to protect their Country before the U.S. once again leaves someone in the lurch. I can't help asking, how the Iraqis can offer their very lives when they have, for too long, never been allowed to claim Iraq as their own?
However, the evil ones who kill and maim with such cruelty, will, more than likely, just wait the U.S. out and when they are gone and not there to help, the monsters will come out with such slaughter and repression as the world has hardly seen. What will happen to beautiful Iraq then? Even more important, what will happen to the Iraqi people?
For the longest time I have been reading the terrible things Americans say about their own Country and the denigration of the U.S. in articles that are written. I also have been watching, with confusion, the antics of the Democrats and Ms. Nancy Pelosi and her far left, Secular Progressive colleagues.
For the longest time, I couldn't figure out what these people expected to accomplish for America with their critism and hatred of Mr. Bush and anyone on the right. It all seemed so self-destructive to me.
But this morning, in a pause from my duties, I saw it all. You could say I had an Epiphany.
Secular Progressives Dems want to change America into something different. Something it's not. More than likely they want the U.S. to become a "one world, Socialist" type of society with wide open borders, legal drugs, late term abortion and God knows what else.
Their attitude about the borders, is what finally woke me up. One example: If the Secular Progressives can have completely open borders in the U.S., with more and more needy people pouring in, the Secular Progressives will become more and more powerful.
The poor most always vote for the Left, because, in the guise of creating yet another "program," to help them, far Left Secular Progressives democrats garner more votes and thus more power.I think this sort of thing could almost be called a genocide by kindness.
Let me just add, that the liberals in American are not Secular Progressives. They are just part of a two party system that is now in danger of extinction.
Program after program, once, only meant to lend a hand for a while, will become,a way of life for generations in the hands of the Secular Progressives. We already have Programs with housing, medical care, dental care, food stamps, etc. which have become not a temporary stepping stone, but an existance that will surely kill the spirit.
On the surface, these programs seem wonderful, but living on them generation after generation was not the original purpose. When one becomes dependent on these programs one tends to vote to the lef

Ayasha, con't. from above -
Sorry, I didn't know there was a restriction on the number of words in a comment.
My point in the above is simply:
It is possible that to the secular progressives in the U.S., Iraq is simply in the way. SPs have a brave new, Socialist world to create. They need the Iraq question gone. (They also hate Mr. Bush with a passion.)
SPs think they will create a better America. As for me and what I think - who knows? I can only put forth my opinion.
I only know, I think it's wrong to just leave Iraq. Just let them down as we did Pakistan/Afghanistan when they fought our proxy war against the Soviets. As we let the Kurds and Shiites down in Gulf War 1, and, as we now seem about to do to Iraq again. America, the undependable.
Running away again...
