Chaz, I wrote the above post, not NYC Educator, so any criticism should be aimed at me, not him.
Next, where in my post do you see me blaming the economy on the GOP or saying things would be better if John Kerry were president?
Additionally, I'm not sure how housing prices dropping nationally for the first time since 1932 is "part of the economic cycle." If you are familiar with Professor Schiller or his index, you would know that the numbers we are seeing in the index are unprecedented and thus worrisome, especially since the current economic downturn has been set off by problems with housing, not problems with consumer spending or business spending. The longer housing market problems go, the more serious this downturn will be.
Finally, please do not compare me to Leo Casey simply because I choose to write a non-education post about the economy. If you don't like the post, criticize the post. If you don't like what I write or how I write, don't read it. But save the slander. It doesn't become you.

It was not really a criticism, I was commenting on the logical part of the economic cycle, with some humor. Furthermore, I am really impressed with your grasp of the economic system of this country. Finally, I was trying to compliment you by comparing the best pitcher in baseball (you) with the worst (Leo Casey). Sorry, you thought it was a critical comment
