That's what this mayor worries about. He wants to be president, and then emperor.
It looks like the Mayor backed down, at least for now. I complained to my city councilman who sits on the Land Use Committee. They called back today to say the School Construction Authority had withdrawn the proposal but next steps were up to the Mayor's office.
With the Mayor thinking about running for president, he should realize his record will get more scrutiny than the NY press typically provides.
