There's nothing like being caught in the middle. In a couple of years the toddler will probably be able to compete with the older kids. I am amazed at how fast kids catch on to video games. Add a couple of dogs to the mix vying for attention, and our family events are very similar.
We play ping pong with our 2 year old as well.
Her older brother and sisters are 8, 10, 10, and 12.
My favorite tactic is to get tell the 2 year old to run and give one of her brothers and sisters a hug, then duck out of the room.
