Gravatar Isn't it strange that the public schools are overcrowded and the DOE announces on its website:
Chancellor Thanks Secretary Spellings for Grant of $8.3 Million to Benefit Charter Schools in New York City and Newark
"The grant was awarded to Civic Builders Incorporated, a nonprofit organization that works with educators to construct new charter schools. The grant will allow Civic Builders to construct 8-12 new schools during the next five years."

Gravatar It's amazing that I read stuff like this here while the NY Times doesn't think it's worth mentioning. The mayor goes out of his way to undermine public schools and nobody seems to notice.

Gravatar I think it is "children last". We all know that Kleinberg does not care about school overcrowding and diverts money to reduce class size to non-classroom programs.

How can the DOE justify this? They either ignore the issue or spin the the information and feed it to the media.

Gravatar "I say, steward, tomorrow you can take my trunk out of the room and I'll go in..."

I love A Night at the Opera...

Groucho: The party of the second part shall be hereby known is the contract as the party of the second part...whattya think of that?

Chico: I no like it.

Groucho: You no like what?

Chico: The party of the second part.

Groucho: You don't like the second party etiher, eh? Well, you should've come to the first party instead...We didn't get home until nearly four in the morning...I was blind for three days...
