On a totally unrelated subject, I just read the student blog. They talk about fighting for rights to smaller class sizes and against the cell phone ban. Sorry, but they shouldn't be in the same sentence. Smaller class size is an academic issue, cell phone possession is not. I am a veteran of the city schools and I think one thing Bloomberg/Klein have done right is the cell phone ban( along with many other things they have done wrong). I would have posted this there, but they don't allow for anonymous contributors.

Turns out, the other 60% were correct...
I'm no fan of Clinton, but the first Bush left office with a recession on his watch, the second Bush came into office with a depression on his watch and is leaving with another one starting. Also, real income for working class and middle class Americans actually rose above inflation in those years while real incomes have not risen in the last 7 years.
Actually the recession during the term of GHWB was over before the election, but it took a half year for that reality to work its way into the public's view. Ergo WJC received the credit, along with his largest in history tax increase. I will give Clinton credit for following the lead of the GOP Congress and limiting spending and balancing the budget. Would that The GOP Congress have kept up that process during the first term of W.
