my husband and i would like to have a baby. my students know i want to have a baby soon. The other day, Aaquil says "miss, just make one. it isn't that hard."

The prologue to Act I of Romeo & Juliet refers to "the fatal loins" of the two warring families producing the two young people whose deaths will end the feud. Part of my job is to analyze the prologue with my wide-eyed freshmen. Thank God for circumlocution!

I've always wondered why "cattle" doesn't have a singular non-gendered word in English. It would make the discussion easier.
