How about confessing publicly to having sold us out to advance her own career? That would be a nice touch.
Randi is so pathetic. Too bad her state of being so pathetic has permeated our union, compromised our rights as teachers and destroyed what semblance of strength the UFT had.

Here is my offer--Resign from the presidency of the UFT and go teach in a classroom for 10 years.
What would I like her to do?
Well, not her but someone else.
I hope one day to read an expose about her on the front page of the NYTimes that explains how she sold out the rank and file to further her own ambitions. And of course the book that follows entitled "Sellout".
Who do you think they will cast as Randi in the movie version?
I would ask Randi to admit her mistakes and promise to fight tooth and nail to restore dignity to our profession. If she can't do it, then she can resign.
Hmmmm...who to play Randi in the movie? All I come up with is Glenn Close- or maybe Madonna (not too much of a stretch from her portrayal of Eva Peron).
I'd ask her to babysit this Friday night and take my care in for an oil change.
Love the book idea. Love the notion of having her fight tooth and nail for the members too, but it seems too late for that now.

I assume this is her way of saying that she'd gladly accept the Secretary of Education post in a Hillary CLinton administration.
Still, there's something to be said for precision in public statements, particularly for would-be politicians. The lack of it accounts in no small part for the miserable short-sighted agreements we've been anchored with over the last few years.
