NYC, try to grab a copy of the New Yorker from a couple weeks ago that had a long article about Clinton's ex-presidency. It's long but worth the time. The author quotes Clinton talking about how important it is for Democrats to "be in the winning business," i.e., how frustrated he was at Kerry's and Gore's inability to fight the negative characatures that Bush painted of them and the Democratic party. I say we get rid of the 22nd Amendment and have a Bill Clinton vs. Dubya showdown in 2008. It'd be lots of fun, and I definitely wouldn't be betting against Clinton.

My 15 yo came in and watched the second half of that. He pointed out that he really doesn't remember before Bush and he was blown away by the fact that we used to have a President like that, you know -- using facts and making arguments and logical assertions and not sitting back and taking it when asked ridiculous/misleading questions.

I will look for the New Yorker article.
I, too, was amazed by the unscripted Bill Clinton.

Of course, Fox TV (Channel 5) had a different spin on their 10 PM Monday evening news. Their 10-11 PM male "anchor" or whatever they want to call him stated that Clinton showed his "angry side" as opposed to reporting that he just BECAME angry over Chris Wallace's question to him concerning how much he did as president to find Osama Bin Laden. They are already spinning this publicity laden exchange by making "anger" a major part of Clinton's personality instead of interpreting and reporting his anger as a reaction to just having had enough smearing by the likes of Fox TV and other similarly leaning news outlets. At last, a Democrat who isn't a wimp!!
