Being right wing I suppose explains my affinity to the theme from Combat. But my favorite, which resides on my ring tone is from the Rockford Files.

I like the Rockford Files too. I used to watch Combat when I was very young, but I can't remember the theme.

Combat was also one of my favorites -- Vic Morrow was the sergeant. He was killed in that accident on the set of Twilight Zone - the Movie.

And Rawhide's Gil Favor - Eric Fleming - drowned in Peru.

Rawhide and Combat, 2 of NYC's favorites. If I were an actor in one of NYC's favorites I would run for the hills.

As far as I know The Virginian's James Drury is still around, so Mike, you're in the clear.

Hey, thanks to your post when I checked Vic Morrow's bio I found out he was a lantsman from the Bronx.

I haven't see Route 66 where those 2 guys in the Corvette ran around the country. Any good themes there?

Speaking of Route 66, the summer after my first year as a teacher, a colleague and I drove cross country. We picked up Route 66 in Chicago and stuck to it all the way to LA. The influence of TV.
