65 absences in 18 months has her out 1/4 of the time. There must be something more to this story.
If she was sick the writer would have probably said so, so what's behind this story?

Can we find another term than rubber room. This is a bastardization of the old "rubber gun squad" from the NYPD. This referred to police who were not allowed to carry firearms, usually because of alchoholism. How this became the rubber room I don't know, but can we not accuse, by terminology, these people of being nuts and belonging in a rubber room.

Those are her rubber room absences, it appears, but I think she may have been late to her real job.

All those absences and latenesses (65) were from the rubber room, not the classroom. I should know - I'm Georgia Argyris. I was an excellent kindergarten teacher with an impeccable record for 7 years at my school 1997-2004. I worked with 2 prior principals until a monster by the name of Rebekah Mitchell arrived at my school in Sept. 2004. By October 2004, she had gotten rid of me. Everything she did to me was because she was enraged over the fact that her boyfriend (who didn't work at the school, yet hung out all day there) was looking at me and flirting with me. She was and still is a jealous, evil, psychopathic liar. The public doesn't even know the whole story. She is a pathetic excuse for a human being and the Board of Ed, including Mr. Klein is a corrupt system that covered up for her. They forced me to sign that agreement or I would have to pay a $75,000 fine and/or be fired. I sat in the rubber room for almost 3 years and was never charged nor contacted until I started being late and absent from there. The principal had revoked her allegation against me in the form of a letter 2 and 1/2 years earlier. Funny how I still sat there not knowing that. Then, after I signed the agreement, they sent me back to work with that monster. I couldn't stand looking at that horrific face of hers day after day and so considering everything I'd been through, I fell into a deep depression and could no longer take her abuse. I was taking medication and asked for a FMLA medical leave and she refused to sign my application. Due to the medication, I was arriving to work 5 minutes late here and there, and it added up to 55 minutes by October and so she fired me. That's why she wouldn't sign my FMLA. She knew I was mentally exhausted and very ill and she was buying time. That's okay. Payback is coming. I have a lawsuit filed and a team of lawyers ready to take this over from the union and when I'm through with this monster principal and her cohort Klein, they won't know what hit them. I've got tapes and tapes and more tapes. The principal's biggest mistake was thinking there was a correlation between my looks and my IQ. When the media hears what's on these tapes, the principal and her cohort Mr. Klein better move to Siberia. And there are other names. They know who they are. And Mr. Klein wants to run for mayor after Bloomberg leaves office. Hmmm, doesn't he read the papers? It happens everyday - powerful men and their fall from grace - there's always a beautiful woman behind the scenes that brings them down. I think you've met yours Joel Klein. When I'm through with you and that 300 pound hunchback monster principal you put in my school who destroyed my career, you won't know what hit you.
