Yes, the fix was in. Even Randi refused to get involved with this after promising teachers that the next contract would not be negotiated under King Mike.
There was a time when teachers in this city were politically motivated to take action. Why wasn't there a concerted effort by teachers and parents to stage a rally outside City Hall or at their own school's council members office??
I cannot tell you how many teachers I know that are not even following this election.
Why? Because they are young, have no reference of the way things used to be, and have no idea what an ATR is.

Fearless Leader. Now that we have returned to McCarthyism, Rocky and Bullwinkle references are a necessity.

What shall Randi do now? For two years she has stood in front of the DA pleading for patience until mayoral sunset. Such an unfortunate position to be in; and ironically, so appropriate.

Randi and Unity crew did their thing when they voted down the ICE amendment calling for them to use pressure on the City Council. Their response? We are in an economic crisis and this has to take a back seat. The very attitude that got us into this.
Yomister - good to hear from you. Miss you at the DA.

I notice in this morning's New York Times that a group of teachers has filed a lawsuit opposing the city council's action to overturn term limits. I hope they are successful.

I read also in The Times that lawsuits may not be successful.
I knew Bloomie would pull something like this, and mark my words, the ATRs will be gone by the next contract.
