I'm honored to be included, even though I was slothful and didn't bother to submit anything. Thank you!

Excellent Carnival! I spent far too much time with it than I should have -- (leaving tomorrow but nothing is packed -- I'm going to tell my mother that it's your fault that I'm not ready to go yet!)
Thanks for the inclusion -- I'm undecided how to respond to "laughed out loud" at my 8 random facts -- all true, I assure you. "Laughed out loud." Hmmm. You should read (mmm -- who was that?) the guy at Learn Me Good, I think -- he was the voice of the Elf on all the Lucky Charms commercials and he invented the InterNet and . . .

Nicely done, and easy to read!
I have to offer a correction, though. In my post I didn't suggest we should run schools like we do the military. I said there were some significant similarities between teaching and being a military leader.
Just wanted to clear that up--I don't want to get flamed by the anti-military crowd!!!

Thanks to all for the kind words.
My apologies to Darren for mangling his point, and I've corrected the post.

Thank you, but there's no need for an apology. Having hosted a Carnival once myself, I know how much work is involved and how you don't have time to read each post in as much detail as you otherwise would.
I do, however, greatly appreciate the correction.

Thank you (and darling Mamacita) and all of my Blogosphere friends for the comfort and sympathy you sent my way about Murphy, and thanks for including both of my posts!
I love the way you've organized this carnival! You ARE a marvel!

You made no mention in your otherwise comprehensive carnival of Edwize, which has some very powerful and relevant posts.

Dittersdorf experienced a serious clash with von Schaffgotsch and was expelled from the palace. Alas he died a sad a broken man.
Perhaps had he understood that his compositions would have been acclaimed today had he stood with his brethern instead of the evil queen.

Great stuff here. Still reading. Thanks for including ednotesonline. Looks like Dittershog can't seem to go quietly into the night into total irrelevancy. Nice to see him at the Brandeis HS U-rated teacher demo the other day, which means Randi might actually let him write a story for the NY Teacher to justify his 60K salary/bribe with our dues to write comments like these.
